Goals of the Academic Resource Centers
- Provide qualified peer tutors that excel in the content areas they tutor, the ability to adapt to various learning styles, and professional development opportunities to improve upon their leadership skills
- Provide assistance that will ultimately lead to increased student success and graduation rates
- Assist students in reaching their full potential for academic success by building their confidence level on the ability to apply concepts learned in the classroom
Hours of Operation
ARCs will be closed for Dead Week and Finals Week. The last night of tutoring will be Thursday, April 19th
The Academic Resource Centers are an excellent way for students to receive free, walk-in tutoring for many subjects offered at West Virginia University. The subjects offered include: Math, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Statistics, General Engineering, Chinese and others available upon request. The schedule is as follows:

WVU Libraries Term Paper Clinic – Get Individual Help That Fits With Your Schedule!
Students can get individualized research assistance with their papers at the WVU Libraries Term Paper Clinic. A librarian can help students think of paper topics, use databases, find sources, organize their research, and use citation systems like MLA or APA.
Students can request a time and library (Downtown or Evansdale) that fits with their schedules by filling out the brief request form at: Term Paper Clinic Appointment Form
Librarians are generally available 8:30AM – 4:00PM.
